New to Casting Agenda? In just a few minutes you’ll have everything set up to keep track of your options, bookings and fees. Follow these steps!

## Step 1 — Create your free account

Go to the [registration page](https://castingagenda.com/app/register/). Enter your first name and surname, your email address and a password of at least 8 characters, and tick to accept the [terms of use](https://castingagenda.com/terms-of-use/). We use your first name to address you personally in our emails. No subscription, no hidden costs, no adverts.

## Step 2 — Confirm your email address

You’ll receive a confirmation email straight away. Click the link in that email to activate your account; you can’t log in until you’ve done this. The link is valid for 24 hours. Has it expired, or can’t you find it? Request a new one via the [login page](https://castingagenda.com/app/login/).

## Step 3 — Add your first casting option

Click **+ Option** (on your phone: the round + button at the bottom right). Only the production name, the status (for example “Applied” or “Option”) and the date are required. Got several shoot days for the same production? Add them all in one go. You can combine individual dates and date ranges.

You can also fill in the casting agency, time, location, role, type of role (extra, featured extra, small speaking role or other), broadcaster, fee, payment term and your own notes. You choose when you’d like a reminder, and you can upload your quitclaims. Handy for later, but not needed to get started.

You don’t need to look up the broadcast date yourself: if an option doesn’t have one yet, the app looks it up for you, and you’ll see what it found after logging in. A date you enter yourself is never overwritten.

## Step 4 — Check your calendar, overview and dashboard

Go to **Calendar** for a colour-coded monthly view of all your options, or to **Overview** for a table you can sort and search. Both use the same data, so pick whichever suits you best.

The **Dashboard** shows your earnings, what you’re still owed, your upcoming shoot days and what’s coming up on TV soon. Use the filter buttons at the top to choose Money, Planning, Broadcasts or Insights. You can drag the tiles around and resize them.

## Step 5 — Sync with your phone’s calendar

Go to **Account**, **Calendar** tab, and copy your personal calendar link. Add it to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook; the steps for each app are listed there. Your shoot days and broadcasts will then appear automatically in the calendar you already use every day.

## You’re all set!

From here on, the app largely runs itself. You’ll automatically get a reminder before every shoot day (the day before, by default), and the dashboard keeps track of your earnings and upcoming payments. Want to get even more out of it?

- **Turn on push notifications** on your account page (Calendar tab). You’ll then get a notification the day before your shoot day, an hour before your call time, when an option becomes booked, done or not booked, and on the day a production airs.
- **Share your availability** with casting agencies via your availability link (Calendar tab). They can see which days you’re available, booked or unavailable, without any productions or titles.
- **Block out dates** when you’re unavailable: just click an empty day in the calendar.
- **Import existing data** from an Excel or CSV file (Data tab) if you already keep a spreadsheet.
- **Add the app to your home screen** so it opens like a regular app.
- **Track your visibility**: after the broadcast, note in the Overview how visible you were. You’ll see it again in the Visibility tile on your dashboard.
- **Invite fellow extras** via your personal invitation link (Profile tab). Once they sign up, you’ll see how many people you’ve invited.
